The rooms in December
Christmas displays
Each December the rooms are dressed for the children: a Frozen party, a fireside scene, a snowman and a tree. These photographs are from the nursery’s own displays.
From the nursery floor
The displays are made for the children who use the rooms every day. Small chairs, tea sets and tinsel sit at their height, not as a show for adults.
Why the rooms change
Christmas is one of the points in the year when families are already thinking about nursery: a new term begins in January, and funded places are often on people’s minds at the same time. The displays are the children’s version of that season. Dressing up, making, and sharing food around a laid table are how expressive arts and personal development look in December.
If your child is not old enough yet, it is still worth asking. Places fill extremely fast. Call Kerry or Nicola on 0161 223 8223, or email [email protected].
Come and see them in person
Photographs show the care that goes into the rooms. A visit shows how the children use them. You are welcome any weekday between 7:30am and 5:30pm, if you arrange it first.
